About the 2008 Festival:
The Saline Celtic Festival is
sponsored by the City of Saline, 2008 will mark its 13th year.
It began as a celebration of the Sister-City relationship between
Saline and Brecon Wales. The Welsh are a Celtic people. The festival
is held at the Mill Pond Park along the Saline River. It is staffed
by volunteers from Saline and other communities. The Celts take
over Saline the week of the festival with many other events and
contests being held. The festival is known for high quality music
and dance performances from entertainers from all over the world,
living history demonstrations, animals of the Celtic lands and
much more. In addition to Scottish and Welsh cultures other Celtic
peoples such as Irish, Cornwallian, Manx and others are represented.
We are always looking for people
who would like to become part of the planning of the Festival.
