Volunteers are essential to the success of our festival. Please contact the Celtic Festival office in the spring if you would like to volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, email scfvolunteers(@)salineceltic.org (leave out the parentheses.)

There are numerous opportunities. Whether you are in high school, a senior citizen or somewhere in between, we invite you to become part of the Saline Celtic Festival. Spend a few hours helping festival guests and then enjoy the rest of the day at the festival. Volunteers are needed for three hour shifts.

• Friday setup and Sunday morning: We need people.

  Setup and Take Down:

  • Help with setup in the Park
  • We will have the persons putting up tents, but will require people to put up the side curtains moving off tables and chairs to different locations.
  • Placing tables and chairs around the park.
  • Set up Clan Area and Merchant Area.

  Saturday: Festival Day:

  • We will need a few people to help with Tables and Chairs from: 7:30 am -9:30 a.m. It would be easier if we had persons that have a pickup truck to help move the tables and chairs to different locations it will make the work go faster.
  • Help merchants and clans move into their areas.

  All Parking lots: We will try to put an experienced volunteer with new persons when ever possible. Ford, High School, Houghton School parking start at 9:00 to 12 noon then every two hours until 4:00 PM .

  Merchant Assistant:

  • Starting at 10:30AM, check on the merchandise vendors to see if they need food, or a person to stay in their booth for rest room breaks; these assistants will not be in charge of any money.

  Children's Activities:

  • Help with children's activities.

  Celtic Sales:

  • Selling Celtic Merchandise hats and T-shirts.

  Volunteer Check In:

  • Check in Volunteers and giving a Volunteer shirt (this is for workers in the Park).

  Sunday

  • 10:00 am-12 Noon: Stacking tables and chairs and cleaning the area.
